I'm Giacomo Scarpellini. I led development of ProMeta at Internovi until 2015, and I've spent the years since building software for statistics — mostly meta-analysis, because apparently once you fall into that particular rabbit hole, you don't climb back out.

I keep at it because I've watched too many researchers struggle with tools that weren't built with their actual workflow in mind: software that locks in your data, documentation written for nobody in particular. ActiLab is my attempt at the opposite — free tools, straightforward explanations, and your data staying exactly where you left it, instead of moving off to some server you'll never really know.
